Over the last few years we have had a number of Open Mike/Jam nite parties. Always a success and a chance for the young ones to try their hand to mix it with the weekend warriors and sometimes the pros. On some nights, everyone is so good its hard to tell the difference. There is always great food and company and the pool is popular on summer nights

We have a good PA system for use on these nights and it is available for hire (Got to pay for it somehow). Our household has many musical instruments including a piano, 3 acoustic-electric guitars including a steel resonator, a couple of electric basses, violin and flute as well as sundry oddities. Amps, etc for all.

A friend of ours, Marion Spires, runs a poetry group called the Red Room. They originally met at the Queen of Tarts cafe in Belgrave, but now meet in Uncle Neil's cafe at the DRCCC/Burrinja in Glenfern Rd, Upwey. (See below)

Anything coming up that interests us is listed below

If something takes your fancy and you want it listed, drop us a line
